About The Gnome
Is the Gnome a boy or girl?
The Gnome is gender neutral. The child who receives a doll or lovey can decide for themselves if it is a boy or girl or make no decision. Whatever the child chooses is up to them. There is no correct answer.
What is the Gnome’s name?
The Gnome does not have a name. We aim to encourage the child who receives a doll or lovey to name the Gnome themselves. You can receive a free “adoption certificate” on our website and fill in the name for your child. Grab your copy of the free adoption certificate here.
Can we share photos of our children and their Gnome with you?
We would love to see photos of your little ones with their doll or lovey & their Adoption Certificate! We can’t wait to see what names they’ve come up with! If you are willing to share with us and also willing for photos to appear on our website or social media, please click here to fill out the photo release form & attach your photos.
Thank you for sharing!
Note: You may send photos with information and child’s face blurred if that makes you more comfortable.

About Our Dolls & Loveys
Where are the dolls and loveys manufactured?
They are manufactured in Yangzhou, China, by GotaToy. They are known for making soft dolls and plush toys and the company is respected for their ethical standards. We carefully considered our options before selecting this manufacturer.
Does the Gnome have other clothing?
Not at this time, however we have plans to manufacture additional clothing for the doll in the future. The popularity and sales of the doll will play a part in the decision to manufacture additional clothing. You may purchase stickers of the Gnome in various other outfits here.
Can I put the doll and lovey in the washer and dryer?
Even though the label says not to wash in the machine, you may wash them in the washer and dry in the dryer with the exception of the doll’s hat. Do not put the doll’s red hat in the washer and dryer. The lining of the hat will shrink. If that happens, you can stretch it out a bit with your hands (it will rip the webbing but not make a mess) and continue to use it. It won’t look quite as good as new, but your child will have a freshly clean toy!
Who designs your merchandise?
Gnome stickers were designed by our book illustrators at Prayan Animation. The doll and lovey were designed by GotaToy based on the illustrations.

About Us
Why are you called The Uff Da Sisters?
“Uff da” is a Norwegian expression that has made its way into American English, particularly in regions with strong Scandinavian heritage like the Midwest. It’s often used to express a variety of emotions such as surprise, exhaustion, frustration, or even astonishment. Its meaning can change depending on the context and tone of voice used. Overall, it’s a versatile phrase that conveys a range of emotions succinctly. We grew up hearing and using the phrase and thought it would make a fun business name.
Where are you located?
Our LLC is registered in Iowa. We do not have a brick and mortar location.
Are you Norwegian?
We are Norwegian Americans due to our ancestral roots in Norway. We have grandparents and great-grandparents who immigrated to the United States and we still have family living in Norway.
