Back in 1965, Åsmund and Else Marie Bryn set their sights on a windswept island called Sør-Hidle, where they purchased a homestead and built a family cabin. Fast forward to 1987, when Åsmund began planting gardens that grew larger with each passing year, attracting visitors from near and far.

In 1995, Olav, their son, along with his wife Siri, opened a restaurant on the island, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Flor & Fjære's journey. During our visit, the lovely Siri guided us through the wonders of this oasis. Since then, the third generation, Endre and Hanne, have taken the reins, ushering in plans for expansion of this sustainable operation.
